Vote: Vote No on #9.
Ballot question #9 relates to the new gun laws enacted.
A NO vote is for the repeal of the new laws.
The new law enacted several changes to the state's firearm regulations including but not limited to:
- Developing an electronic registration system to track firearm ownership; prohibiting assault-style firearms (as defined in law);
- Requiring safety certificates to obtain firearm permits, but not setting out the criteria;
- Mandating serial numbers for firearms;
- Allowing school administrators and licensed healthcare providers to request that a court issue an Extreme Risk Protection Order; and permitting courts to order firearm surrender when issuing Harassment Prevention Orders.
A "NO" vote would repeal House Bill 4885, which enacted the changes to the state's firearm regulations.

Basic Hunter Education Course Available in Braintree
This course is being offered in a format that blends online study and in-class instruction. Students first complete the online Massachusetts Hunter Safety Study Guide at huntercourse.com and then provide proof to register for the in-person Field Day to complete the course.

2026 Dues Payments after May 31st

Online payments for 2026 Dues are no longer available.

After May 31st, any overdue dues must be paid by check, with late fees determined by the club.
If you have not paid dues for 2025 or 2024, and wish to rejoin, you must take the New Member Orientation class again and pay the initiation fee. See NEW MEMBER SIGNUP for registration when available.

BUILDING RENOVATIONS

While the cost of expanding the old range looks to be unachievable presently, the executive board and building committee has investigated and made recommendations for renovations of the range to include a new granular back stop, new shooting booths, a new target carrier system and new baffles.
Additional work discussed includes renovation of the bathrooms, much needed new electrical in the building and a new roof. Cost for the backstop, target carrier and baffles is just under $500,000. This issue will be discussed at the next member’s meeting on May 11 at 7 PM. Member input is important.

No Caliber Larger than 9mm Allowed on Older Indoor Range

Per order of the Chief Range Officer no caliber larger than 9mm is allowed on the older indoor range. The purpose is to minimize lead build up. All handgun calibers in handguns are allowed on the newer indoor range. Carbines and rifles are not allowed on any indoor range.

Badges Must be Worn and Visible

Members are reminded that club badges must be worn and visible when on club property.
Guests must wear a visitor badge/sticker when as well. Persons who do not comply will be asked to leave the property.
Guest Privileges

Members are reminded that we allow one shooting guest per month. Exceptions can be made with prior permission of the chief range officer, assistant chief range officers or a member of the executive board. The member must directly supervise and coach the guest at all times. No exceptions!
A member and their guest are allowed use of one (1) shooting station only. Members are responsible for the actions of their guest. If the guest violates any club rule, the member will be held responsible.
Parking

Parking is allowed in designated spots only. Use of the handicap parking spots by persons without a handicap plate, sticker and or by persons who are not handicapped will result in discipline.
Instructors

The club allows instructors to use the old clubhouse range for qualification and shooting instructions Monday through Thursday only. We do not allow classroom instruction. Instructors are limited to two students on club property at one time and only one person shooting at a time. Instructors MUST provide the club with their certification as an instructor and a policy of insurance naming the club as an additional insured.
Failure to do so, and failure to keep insurance current and provide the club with a copy will result in termination of privileges.
