Baffle Repairs

We will be working on repairs to the baffles in the new range.  
Some baffles need to be repaired or re-hung and sound limiting material applied. 
Persons willing to assist should email the club.

Seeking Bids for Indoor Range Lighting 

We are also seeking bids for lighting modifications in the newer indoor range.
Electricians interested in bidding on the job should email the club.

Seeking Bids for Bathroom Renovations

Also, we originally had one bathroom in the older club house that was sectioned and made into two.
We would like to renovate the area to make one larger (and nicer) bathroom.
Persons interested in bidding this work should email the club.

Second Amendment Sisters 16th Annual Women's Instructional Shoot!
October 20, 2018 from 8:30am to 3:30pm, at Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club

This event is geared toward new women shooters but all women, regardless of experience are invited to attend. No previous experience is necessary. Just the desire to learn and have fun. You will receive instruction in firearm safety and hands-on instruction in shooting a pistol, rifle, shotgun, archery and black powder.  Sponsored by Second Amendment Sisters of Massachusetts.

The event fee is $50. We will supply all the equipment. A light lunch will be provided or you can bring your own. The event will be limited to 50 participants. You must pre-register so we can make sure we have enough food and supplies for all. Please bring a baseball-type cap with you. It will be helpful if you can bring your own eye and ear protection. This is a rain or shine event!!

Registration will close when we reach 50 registrations or on October 16, 2018 - whichever comes first!

RANGE UPDATE 9/1/2018

The new backstops have been installed and the new (larger) range is now open. The older (smaller) range will be open soon. Target carrier cables in the older range are being replaced and one last plate needs to be installed.

Rules of the indoor ranges remain the same. Targets must be placed at or beyond the yellow, minimum distance line. Handguns in handgun calibers and 22 rimfire rifles ONLY are to be used. The use of any other firearm or ammunition will result in immediate dismissal from the club.
Targets in the new range must be hung from the paper/cardboard/plastic holder. NO target is to be attached directly to the metal carrier.

As president of the Braintree Rifle & Pistol Club I want to welcome you to our web site. The club was founded in 1891 and incorporated in 1925. The club currently enjoys a membership of approximately 6000 and is located on 87 acres of land in Braintree, MA. Our facility includes two indoor ranges for pistols and 22 rifles. The newer state of the art indoor shooting facility is comprised of 15 shooting positions and includes a booth for handicapped persons.
 
Fully integrated electronic target carriers allow shooter to set targets at various distances. The backstop and baffle system allow the use of all handgun caliber ammunition including magnum and jacketed loads, as well as .22 rimfire rifles. The smaller indoor range has 9 positions with electronically controlled target carriers. Both ranges use a heating and ventilation systems that exceed OSHA and NIOSHI standards for lead particle removal and clean air standards, and reclaims 80 percent of the heat.
 
Also included in the new facility is a fully equipped kitchen, a treasures office complete with computerized phone system and card key access security system, and a room for the club’s executive board.
The club has a 20-position outdoor rifle range, a competition range, pistol range and a plinking range.  All outdoor ranges are covered and baffled. The club also has a NRA regulation trap field and a new archery field.

Directions to BRPC

The club is located off of Liberty Street in Braintree, just after the Disabled Veterans Hall (D.A.V.).
From Route 3, exit at the Union Street exit, Braintree (by Toyota dealer and/Best Buy Plaza).
If traveling north, bear right upon entering Union Street. If traveling south, go around the rotary (under Route 3) to Union Street (near the Sunoco gas station), you will pass the Police Station on your left and the National Guard Armory on your right.
Travel to the first set of lights and take a right (Middle Street).
Continue on this road and you will go come to a small rotary,
go straight under Route 3 (Middle Street becomes Liberty Street).
Continue straight to the next rotary. Continue straight until you go up a hill.
At the crest of the hill, you will see a road to your left just beyond the DAV hall (Matthews Lane).
This is the entrance to Liberty Woods Apartment/Condo Complex.

Turn left onto the roadway for Liberty Woods.
Travel for about fifty yards and at the first rotary you will see the club entrance roadway to your right. This is the driveway to the Braintree Rifle & Pistol Club.
Follow the driveway a short distance and you will come to the gate, clubhouse and parking area.
For GPS: Put in Matthews lane, Braintree, MA.
