NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING

The Annual Meeting of the Braintree Rifle & Pistol Club will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025. 

At the Weymouth Braintree Elks #2232
(formerly the Braintree DAV)
788 Liberty Street, Braintree, MA 02184

Doors to the Elks Hall will open at 9 AM.
The meeting will begin at 10 AM SHARP

Lunch will be served, and a raffle held.
Notice will be emailed to members prior to the meeting.

Election of Club Officers will take place.

Persons interested in running for office or should attend a members meeting and advise the election committee.

NEW TRAP MACHINE HAS BEEN INSTALLED

Trap is club run Sundays beginning at noon and Thursday mornings at 10

Badges Must be Worn and Visible

Members are reminded that club badges must be worn and visible when on club property.
Guests must wear a visitor badge/sticker when as well. Persons who do not comply will be asked to leave the property.

Guest Privileges

Members are reminded that we allow one shooting guest per month. Exceptions can be made with prior permission of the chief range officer, assistant chief range officers or a member of the executive board. The member must directly supervise and coach the guest at all times. No exceptions!

A member and their guest are allowed use of one (1) shooting station only. Members are responsible for the actions of their guest. If the guest violates any club rule, the member will be held responsible.

Parking

Parking is allowed in designated spots only. Use of the handicap parking spots by persons without a handicap plate, sticker and or by persons who are not handicapped will result in discipline.

Instructors

The club allows instructors to use the old clubhouse range for qualification and shooting instructions Monday through Thursday only. We do not allow classroom instruction. Instructors are limited to two students on club property at one time and only one person shooting at a time. Instructors MUST provide the club with their certification as an instructor and a policy of insurance naming the club as an additional insured.

Failure to do so, and failure to keep insurance current and provide the club with a copy will result in termination of privileges.

RANGE STATUS CAMERA

Our RANGE STATUS CAMERA shows the main gate on a real-time video feed. The sign reads Range Open or Range Closed, as set by Range Officers.

Committees

The executive board is always looking for members who want to join the various committees at the club. The finance committee is drawn from past executive board members or members who are professional in the field of finance. The finance committee advises the executive board on matters pertaining to the handling of club funds.

There is also an entertainment committee, membership committee and legislative committee. Please e mail the club stating your interest and qualifications.

Notice to Instructors

Instructors are reminded to submit updated insurance documents and certificates. Failure to do so will result in loss of privileges. The E-board is also discussing additional charges for instructors either in the cost of dues or a per person charge for use of the club. Possibly instructors could become range officers and assist with range officer duty if they are not doing so already.

RULES REMINDERS

Eye and Ear protection are required on all firing lines.

Only one guest is allowed per month. Guest must be signed in and wear Visitor Badge while on premises. Members must wear their badge in a visible manner while on club property.

Talent Bank

The BRPC executive board desires to start and maintain a Talent Bank. Persons who would like to assist the club should email your interest and area of expertise.

Likewise, we are looking for persons who would like to volunteer or bid on work at the club.

Upcoming projects include: 

  • Indoor lighting for ranges
  • Roof repairs
  • Renovation of old range bathrooms
  • Indoor range baffle repairs

The club also needs one or more persons to assist with the updating and transfer of data to our MS Access system. Knowledge and experience are necessary.

2025 DUES

The last day to pay online is May 31st. Online Payments will not be accepted after May 31. 

If your dues are in arrears, you must pay by check.

After two years of inactive membership, you must take the New Member Orientation class again and pay the initition fee.

ANNUAL MEETING NOTICE

The Annual Meeting of the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club will take place on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Braintree Elks Hall (formerly DAV) right next to the club driveway. 

Doors will open at 9 AM, and the meeting will begin at 10 AM.

The agenda of the meeting will include: the election of club officers, approval of the proposed budget, and other club business.

Refreshments and lunch will be served.

A raffle will be held.

Any member in good standing may run for these offices by presenting signatures of 5 members on his/her nomination paper at the annual meeting.

October 15, 2022 from 8:30am to 3:30pm
At the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club

Have you ever thought of trying a firearm?
Now is the time! Haven’t shot in a very long time?  Are your firearm skills rusty? Well, then, come on down! This event is geared toward new women shooters, but all women, regardless of experience are invited to attend. No previous experience is necessary just the desire to learn and have fun. You will receive instruction in firearm safety and hands-on instruction in shooting  pistols, rifles, shotguns, and more.

The event fee is $65. We will supply all the equipment. A light lunch will be provided or you can bring your own. The event will be limited to 50 participants. You must pre-register to insure we have enough food and supplies for all. Please bring a baseball-type cap. Feel free to bring your own eye and ear protection if you prefer. This is a rain or shine event!!
